Evergreen Elementary Handbook
Welcome
Welcome to Evergreen Elementary! Whether you are joining our school community for the first time or returning for another wonderful year, we are grateful to have you as part of our Evergreen Family. It is my hope that you and your child will have a rewarding and memorable experience as an Evergreen Eagle.
At Evergreen, our mission is to build positive relationships with students that empower them to become caring, independent problem-solvers, and lifelong learners. We believe that when kids feel safe, valued, and supported, they are more willing to take risks, embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, and grow. We also know that strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success. Families play a vital role in creating the caring, inclusive, and a dynamic learning community that makes Evergreen such a special place, and we value the many opportunities to work together to support our students.
We are committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Our dedicated teachers and staff strive each day to provide high-quality instruction, build meaningful relationships, and support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth of every student. We intentionally teach and reinforce importance of teamwork, kindness, responsibility, and perseverance while celebrating both academic achievement and positive character. Throughout the school year, students are encouraged to “SOAR” by being Super Safe, On Task, Always Respectful, Really Responsible. These shared expectations help create a positive school culture where everyone can learn and thrive.
This handbook is designed to provide you with important information about our school policies, procedures, and expectations. We encourage you to review it carefully and refer to it throughout the school year as a helpful resource. Open communication and collaboration between home and school are key to a successful educational experience, so please never hesitate to reach out with questions, concerns, or suggestions. We also encourage all families to become actively involved in their child’s school experience, as your partnership makes a meaningful difference.
Thank you for your trust, partnership, and continued support. We look forward to working together to make this a successful and rewarding year for every Evergreen Eagle.
Warmly,
Amanda Thoma
